Platteklip Gorge is the quickest, most direct, and popular route to the summit of Table Mountain. It follows a well-constructed trail up a deep ravine on the iconic front face of the mountain, offering stunning views of Cape Town and the surrounding area. While challenging, it's considered one of the easiest Table Mountain hiking trails, suitable for most fitness levels.

Getting There
The trailhead is located on Tafelberg Road, about 1.5 km past the Lower Cable Car Station. You can drive and park along Tafelberg Road, use the hop-on-hop-off bus to the Lower Cable Car Station, or take an Uber. The nearest designated parking is at Kloof Nek, about 3 km away.
